Ahrar Bloc: Corruption hinders ministries' performance

Baghdad (AIN) -Member of Ahrar Bloc within the Sadr Trend assured that "The Iraqi ministries suffer from financial and administrative corruption and manipulation of public funds."
MP Oday Awad, member of the bloc, told All Iraq News agency (AIN) that "Ministries spend large sums of money for things that are unnecessary," stressing that "The ministries cannot be limited by allocating specified amounts because it will return with negative impact on citizens and would limit thier productive capacities."
He added that "There are materials purchased outside the scope of international standards carried out by most ministries in addition to the presence of other materials purchased outside the scope of the approved international prices." /End/
