Baghdad (AIN) –The President, Jalal Talabani, and the Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs, Hussien al-Shihristani, discussed the relations between the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government.
Presidential statement received by AIN cited "Talabani received Shihristani in Baghdad on Monday afternoon as they reviewed the relations and the means of solving the pending issues between the CG and the KRG."
"Shihristani welcomed the suggestion of the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, over forming joint parliamentary committee to investigate the process of smuggling the oil," the statement added.
"In response to a request by Talabani, Shihristani suspended the decision of stopping supplying KR with Benzene for one month to solve the issues related to this aspect," the statement concluded.
