Baghdad (AIN) –The President, Jalal Talabani, and the former Vice-President, the leader within the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Adil Abdul Mahdi, discussed political developments.
A Presidential statement cited "Talabani received Abdul Mahdi and discussed political updates with him," noting that "Both sides stressed the necessity of keeping on the efforts in all levels and sides to prepare reaching a comprehensive and national program accepted by all the political blocs."
"Abdul Mahdi appreciated Talabani's efforts through his meetings with all sides, wishing him success," the statement concluded. /End/
